Introduction to Herbal Medicine Making ~ July 18 & August 15
This two-day hands-on class will walk participants through all the steps of making your own herbal medicines. We will start with understanding the different forms of herbal medicine and how to use them safely and effectively. Participants will go through the steps of harvesting plants from the wildlands of our property and organic gardens and make several medicines such as a tincture, infused oil & vinegar. Participants will take their medicines-in-progress home to tend until session two. At session two, participants will strain and bottle their medicines and use the infused oil to make a skin-healing salve. Students will gain practical, hands-on skills that can be used at home to build confidence and resiliency in their personal health. Program will be designed with physical distancing in mind and all participants will have their own work station and tools for the program to limit touching the same surfaces. Space limited to 5 people and all materials to be provided.
