Gift of the Trees ~ August 29

Come learn and connect with the many gifts we are given by the trees of the Algonquin region.

In this one-day workshop you will have the opportunity to

  • Make a pine bark berry basket, including learning how to harvest and process tree bark and conifer roots for the stitching.
  • You will also learn to process conifer resin into natural glue,
  • Learn how to make rope from tree and plant fibres,
  • Sample the tastes of several different tree tea's and foods,
  • Learn how to identify and build a deeper relationship with many of the tree species of this region.

The program will be designed with physical distancing in mind and all participants will have their own work station and tools for the program to limit touching the same surfaces. Space limited to 5 people and all materials to be provided.

Time: 10am - approx 5pm

Location: Wild Spirit Permaculture Farm, Dwight (exact directions to be given after registration)

After purchase a follow-up email will be sent within 5 days with details for the day, packing list, etc.
