Our wild take on aromatic bitters! This unique formula combines the classic bitter or hops and grapefruit peel with wild crafted lemony spruce tips and pungent mugwort. We combine these with aromatic and flavourful anise hyssop, tulsi and coriander grown in our garden in Lake of Bays. This bitter is a relaxing formula for evening time in soda water or herbal tea or adds a fresh and unique flavour profile to your favourite gin based cocktail.

Add a dropper or two to your favourite cocktail, mocktail or soda water.

Bitters are a traditional cocktail ingredient made of bitter and aromatic herbs infused in alcohol. Used as only a few drops per drink, they are the ‘salt & pepper’ that brings out flavour and character to your beverages.

The prohibition era collapsed the thriving bitters industry. Until the early 21st century the selection of bitters was extremely limited.

Our WILD BITTERS are a part of the movement to bring back craft cocktails. We use wildcrafted ingredients and high-quality organic herbs in our bitters. They are formulated using traditional herbal knowledge and attention to providing flavours applicable to modern craft cocktails. Because they are alcohol extracts bitters will last for many years, but over time the flavours will change. Enjoy your craft bitters!

Elderflower Smash

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 ½ oz elderflower liqueur
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 dropper Herbal Aromatic Bitters
  • 4–5 mint leaves

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and pour into cocktail glass with ice. Garnish with mint sprig.

We are a small rural business. We do everything by hand from foraging wild plants to shipping orders from a small village. Please note that it may take up to a week to ship out your order. Standard shipping is via Canada Post Regular Parcel. You will be provided with a Tracking Number when the item is shipped. If you would rather me ship your item with through an alternate service contact me and I will try and accommodate your needs. Customers in the Muskoka area are welcome to arrange pick-up of their parcels and save on shipping. You MUST contact me at least 24 hours in advance to arrange pick up.
